Fenton Couple Fight to Keep Their Chickens [VIDEO]

A Fenton Twp couple are being told that they are no longer allowed to to keep their chickens due to a city ordinance.

According to ABC12, this couple doesn't feel safe buying eggs from a store so they decided to get their eggs by raising four chickens.

I'm all for people who want to grow or raise their own food as I believe they have every right to do so. A lot of people feel this leads to living a healthy life and they're probably right.

I also believe that if you're going to have farm animals, they need to be raised outside of a residential area. I can understand why a neighbor complained, I wouldn't want my neighbors raising chickens right next door. You can say they don't stink all you want....but they do. I grew up with chickens next door and you could definitely smell their crap from time to time.
