Fenton Township Beach Closed Due To High E. Coli

It's going to be hot as hell today and you'll have one less beach to cool off at. Due to some high E. Coli bacteria levels a Fenton Township beach has been closed. For me it's a bit weird to hear of something like this around this area. When I was growing up in St. Clair Shores though, Metro Beach was closed all the time due to E. Coli.

This time of year, Lake Fenton is always packed with boaters and party goers. Unfortunately, today there will be a few less people on the lakeside. The closed beach is located right behind the township offices on Mantawauka Drive.  The beach will be closed until more testing is done.
