Film About the Michigan Craft Beer Scene Slated for September Release

Good news for you supporters of all things beer and film related – it appears as if ‘The Michigan Beer Film’ will see the light of day. The production company responsible for the documentary has successfully secured enough financing, through its Kickstarter account, to bring you the story of the Michigan microbrew.

According to Rhino Media Productions Kickstarter site, the company has raised nearly $5,000 more than their initial goal of $30,000 to complete a film about the economic and artistic growth of the Michigan craft beer scene. The film has been in production for the past 16 months and according to RMP’s website, the film is scheduled to premier September 14 at the Kalamazoo State Theater.

And while the film’s big premier has not been confirmed for that date, production does still appear to be underway, according to film’s Facebook page.
