Despite proven health risks, and rate hike issues, a judge gave Flint the go-ahead to resume water shut offs for delinquent customers.

There is a class action law suit against the city of Flint concerning a 35% increase in water rates, which were deemed illegal.

Combine the increase with the fact that the water coming to Flint homes is a potential health hazard, and residents basically stopped paying.

The city issues shut off notices, but they were quickly stopped by residents represented by attorney, Val Washington.

Washington says that the ruling from Circuit Court Judge, Archie Hayman, requires the city to give a 90 day notice before shutting off anyone's water.

I completely understand that services must be payed for, but it seems ridiculous that people are being threatened for not buying into a system that has been proven to be a health risk.
