You may have noticed a bit of chaos yesterday on westbound I-69 in Flint as a group of 'Flint Lives Matter' protesters literally took to the streets to protest the ongoing water crisis.

It all went down around 7 pm between the I-475 interchange and Saginaw Street exit. This 'Flint Lives Matter' group stopped their vehicles across multiple lanes which obviously caused a pretty crazy scene and created a pain for those traveling westbound.

Protester Lorenzo Avery Jr. shot a Facebook Live video (which can be seen below) during the protest and directed others in the group to make sure all lanes and shoulders of the roadway were blocked with vehicles.

I totally get that Flint residents are over the water crisis especially after the state ended the bottled water program but I don't think this is the best way to go about it. I understand they want to clearly make their point but this was a dangerous way to do that. Luckily no one was hurt during the 15-minute protest. Vehicles eventually scattered after a police car arrived at the scene according to ABC12.
