Flint Parents Get Year in Jail, Probation After 1-Year-Old Drowns In Tub

Flint residents Jeremy Lewis Wise, 29, and Callie Rose Csercsa, 19, were each sentenced to one year in jail and five years probation for the drowning death of their 1-year-old son.

In May of this year, the child was left unattended in a bathtub when the two parents began fighting. What the hell is wrong with people? Leaving a one-year-old alone in a tub? The parents discovered him face down in the bath water. My heart breaks for this little boy.

At first, the pair were charged with second degree murder, but those charges were dismissed in August by Judge Nathaniel Perry III. Judge Perry ruled that Wise and Csercsa each justified an abuse charge, but not murder.
