Flint Police Call in Bomb Squad After Finding Supspicious Items

Never a dull moment in Flint, Michigan that is for sure. MLive is reporting that officers found wires and batteries connected inside of a coffee container during a recent traffic stop. Also inside of the container were traces of a white substance. This was found when police pulled over a van being driven by a 43 year old unidentified male.  The suspect did eventually tell authorities the the materials were for a bomb.

No one was injured and the device has since been destroyed.  However, aerosol cans and switchboards were also found on the scene.  Sheriff Robert Pickell said the man, who is reportedly homeless, is being held at the Genesee County Jail.
