Flint Police are about to start "slut shaming" the whole city by posting the names and faces of suspected prostitutes and johns on their Facebook page.

Remember back when people under the age of 65 used checks (the 1990s) and store owners would tape the ones that bounced to their wall in order to shame the deadbeat in question? Well that's sort of like what the Flint Police announced they're going to start doing, except instead of exposing deadbeats they'll be exposing whores and whore-mongers.

According to MLive, the Flint Police announced yesterday (November 3rd) that the initiative is meant to combat the world's oldest profession. Chief James Tolbert said, "What we believe will be effective is the notification to the public which may have other repercussions for offenders who are engaged in a crime that is secretive by nature."

Moving forward, Flint Police will post the names and pictures of suspects who have been arrested and arraigned on prostitution-related charges on their Facebook page. It's pretty messed up that they're planning on publicly shaming people before they're convicted, but what can you do? Besides, the police are just joining the rest of America by sharing things on Facebook with no knowledge of whether they are true or false.

If you want to preview the faces you'll be seeing on Facebook, you can always just zoom in on Dort Highway via Google Earth.
