Flint Teen Drowns In Lapeer County Lake [VIDEO]

First and foremost, my thoughts go out to the family of 17-year-old Troy Paxton. The Flint teen drowned in Lake Minnawanna yesterday. Paxton and another teen were attempting to swim across the lake.

According to reports half way through the swim Paxton became exhausted. His friend tried to motion for a boat to help, but unfortunately it was too late - Troy went under. I did not know Troy Paxton, yet I am crying as I write this. I can't imagine what his family is going through and the 18-year-old that was swimming with him. A candlelight vigil will be held in Troy's honor tonight at Richfield Bowling Alley at 5340 Richfield Road in Flint at 9:00 p.m.
