Four area bands battle it out for a week of airplay in the Flint Town Throwdown. This week's bands are No Resolve, Ana, Know Lyfe and Against All Evil — listen to the tracks and vote for your favorite now.     Hailing from Southeast Michigan, No Resolve began in 2005 when singer, Oscar Pegorraro, set out to start a band. While playing with a cover band, Oscar met guitarist Jason Hatmaker. Next he drafted John Wright, a professional guitarist with years of live show experience, and years of teaching guitar. Derek Bjornson, who was in another band and taught drums on the side, met Oscar who instantly noticed Derek’s talent and recruited him in the band. No Resolve’s latest member is bassist Dennis Patterson, who instantly fit in with his skill and understanding of what path the band wanted to take.

    Ever since Know Lyfe formed in a dark, damp basement in Lansing, Michigan in September of 2000, the band has had a single vision in make music that pushes the envelope and reaches out to a very wide audience. The band consists of vocalist Alfonso Civile, guitarist Jerred Pruneau, drummer Matt Martens, and bassist Waylon Fox. These four individuals live, eat, and breathe music and have been creating original, exciting, and energetic material for the past decade, regardless of many popular trends.

    Against All Evil is a hybrid of many rock sounds that grace the airwaves. There are metal and punk rock influences that meld with a hard and melodic rock feel. Their goal is not just to write good songs, but hit songs, songs that mean something to its audience.
