Flint Town Throwdown – Round 7
Four area bands battle it out for a week of airplay in the Flint Town Throwdown. This week's bands are The Devastator, Caesar, Kisses for Charity, and Against All Evil — listen to the tracks and vote for your favorite now.
Lansing, Michigan's The Devastator are a punishing old school death metal band with a new school approach. Sick of hearing the same boring breakdown after breakdown the guys of The Devastator started schooling others on what really is metal. After spending a full year playing shows they entered NS Studios(same studio who recorded the new Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza album due out soon) in Grand Rapids, Michigan and recorded their debut EP. Releasing the EP digitially at the beginning of 2011 their fan base grew even more getting bigger and better shows! As 2011 comes to a close The Devastator plays shows every weekend and is also finishing up writing for their first full length. Look out, because these guys mean business!
The grouped formed in December 2010, and while none of the members can call the same town home, they have all found a home within Caesar. Caesar hits the pavement as much as possible and having members from Michigan and Indiana, they make sure that whenever they are given a stage to play on they make sure to leave their mark. The live performance of this group is what they pride themselves on, and… they entertain in a manner that fans won't soon forget. As for the music, it can stand on its own. The way in which the music of Caesar is delivered through speakers is for lack of a better word: aggressive. It can be found in the rhythmic attack from the instruments and the chilling delivery of the vocals.
Kisses for Charity
Having only been a band since March 2011, Kisses For Charity has developed a rapid growing fan base in the Metro Detroit area. With high energy and catchy hooks, don't be surprised to find these guys on your playlist with other Powerpop/Rock bands. The band is currently recording their first E.P and hopes to have it released by Spring 2012.
Against All Evil
Against All Evil is a hybrid of many rock sounds that grace the airwaves. There are metal and punk rock influences that meld with a hard and melodic rock feel. The goal is not just to write good songs, but hit songs, songs that mean something to its audience. We want our fans to be able to relate to the songs, for them to feel the energy, emotion and passion we have portrayed in each song, and to be able to use it, rely on it, when they need somewhere to turn.
