While we don't have autism figured out, the recognition and treatment of the condition has come a long way.  People with autism are living happy, productive lives, and Ethan Rice, aged 8 and from Flushing is proof of that.  His book, 'Ethan's Story: My Life With Autism' has been published and is available at Amazon.com

Autism touches many, many lives and the story of local author, Ethan Rice, is proof that there is hope for every one of those people it touches.  Only 8-years-old and diagnosed with autism, his book 'Ethan's Story: My Life With Autism' has been published and is now available.

The book is being praised for the fact that it's a book that explains autism to children from a child's perspective.  The condition affects 1 out of 52 boys and 1 out of 252 girls in America, so it's safe to assume that if children aren't personally affected, they will be dealing with people with autism on a regular basis.  Education, familiarity, and respect are key in helping minimize autism, and the book will hopefully be able to teach that to kids.

'My Life With Autism' is available at Amazon.com and is currently only available in paperback.
