Ford in Talks to Possibly Renovate Michigan Central Station [VIDEO]

Looks like Ford is looking to continue on the improvement of Detroit. They are currently in talks to purchase and redevelop Michigan Central Station in Corktown.

I am actually split on this idea. My brother lives in Detroit and one of my favorite things to do when visiting him is to explore the city. A few years ago we spent some time exploring Corktown, including a stop at Michigan Central Station. While I would love to see the building be repurposed and add to the city, there is a part of me that wants it to go untouched. It is such a cool looking building with a cool history. It has even been used for movies including 'Batman v Superman' and some of the 'Transformers' movies.

On the flip side, it can be an eyesore for tourists and people passing through the area. No matter what happens, it will continue to be an awesome spot in Detroit to check out. If you haven't been to Detroit for a few years, it is definitely worth your time to take a day and explore. There have been a lot of improvements and there are some many cool hidden treasures to check out.

As of right now, nothing is official between Ford and the Moroun family, who own the building.
