Flint, Michigan might need to change its nickname from "Vehicle City" to "Vice City" according to these statistics that put us way ahead of the national average for bad habits.

Findthehome.com is a site that compiles all kinds of data in order to help people find the ideal area to live. Not surprisingly, Flint ranks quite high on the "Vices per capita" charts, averaging 75% higher than the rest of Michigan and 2.6x the national average.

The statistic is based on the number of vice businesses (liquor stores, adult entertainment establishments, casinos, etc.) per every 10,000 people. Even though the unusually high number of strip clubs in town likely skews the numbers quite a bit, Flint even toppled Vegas, who have a 3.8336 rating in the vice category. Flint has almost double that, with a 6.4632 rating.

Another statistic putting us even further in the "sinner" category would obviously be crime, of which Flint has had more than its share for a long time. To be fair, Flint also has 61% more churches per capita than the national average... so it ain't all bad. Besides, these are all just numbers based on formulas that can't possibly tell the whole story -- so take them as you will.

Oddly enough, we made a Flint version of the 'Grand Theft Auto: Vice City' cover a while back for a different article. Check that out below:
