Kramer and Newman couldn't even pull it off with a mail truck, but that didn't stop one local man from returning out-of-state bottles and cans for deposit. Spoiler Alert: He didn't succeed either.

44-year-old Brian Edward Everidge of Columbiaville pleaded not guilty to one count of -- and get ready for the 100% real name of an actual criminal charge here -- beverage return of non-refundable bottles. That might sound like some good old fashioned mischief that would get you nothing more than a slap on the wrist, but it actually carries a fine of up to $5,000 and a maximum sentence of five years in prison. Like, federal-pound-you-in-the-ass prison.

Everidge was stopped for speeding on US-23 in Tyrone Township on April 27th, officers then discovered he was transporting more than 10,000 out of state bottles. He was driving an unspecified rental vehicle, but we're guessing it was a Uhaul or mail truck. As 'Seinfeld' taught us -- it's the only way to pull of that scam.

Everidge is currently free on a personal bond, and is set to return to court on June 22nd.
