We recently told you that Yaya's on Saginaw Street in Grand Blanc had closed its doors and is relocating just down the road on the same street. Now, we've got the scoop on what's moving into its old spot.

This new restaurant is the first of its kind in Genesee County, making all of this that much more exciting. Finally, something that we don't already have.

The new restaurant is Chicken Shack.

Chicken Shack, an American restaurant chain, originated in Royal Oak, Michigan, when John and Iola Sobeck opened the first branch in 1956. Presently, the chain features 21 locations in the Metro Detroit area.

When Will Chicken Shack Open?

It's unclear at the moment when Chicken Shack will officially to the public. The popular Metro Detroit restaurant chain is currently under construction. They have the windows covered which leads us to believe, they're working hard on the inside.
