Grand Blanc High School Closed After Teacher Passes Away Suddenly

It's a sad day for students at Grand Blanc High School as they mourn the loss a teacher who passed away suddenly.

The school posed this statement on their website:

" Due to the sudden death of a beloved Grand Blanc High School teacher, Ms. Gowdy, the high school will be closed today, Friday April 29th.  For those students who knew and loved Ms. Gowdy, grief counselors will be available at the school today for support until 3pm.

At this point, no details of her death have been released.

My step daughter attends Grand Blanc High School and while Ms. Gowdy wasn't her teacher, she said everyone just loved loved.
