Grand Blanc Township Police Warn Residents Of Phone Scam

It seems like phone scams are becoming more and more of a pain in the butt lately. Recently, my phone has been ringing of the hook for prizes and mortgage loans. However, you have to be careful with them, even if you're frustrated. 

Grand Blanc Township police have been alerted to a phone scam that has been plaguing residents. The scammer will call you and say you won a gift card to a big box store around. While conversing, they scammer asks if you can hear them. If you respond with "yes," you may be in trouble.

After the scammers have you on tape saying yes, they then proceed to charge you for a magazine subscription. The best thing to do is not answer and hang up the phone.
