Green Day Is At Work On New Album For 2011

Details of Green Day‘s follow up to the 2009 record ’21st Century Breakdown’ have been hard to come by…in fact, they were non-existent until today. Frontman Billy Joe Armsrtrong has released the first details about the upcoming album via his official Twitter page.

Green Day has popped up in the press a few times in the past year; they released the live DVD/CD ‘Awesome As F**k’, Billy Joe produced and album for his son’s band Emily’s Army, but outside of that there hadn’t been much talk about what the band is doing. Billy Joe decided to go 21st century on our asses and cut out the middle man by dropping the info on Twitter.

No other details for as-of-yet untitled project have been released but we will have them for you when they become available. If work has already started it’s not a big leap of faith to say we will hear new Green Day before the year is out though.
