Guy Flips Car at 70MPH [VIDEO]

I always think how lucky I am because I've never been in a serious car accident. Well, I did total my first car when I was 16, when I fell asleep at the wheel and hit a tree but I didn't get hurt at all.

The thing I don't get when I watch these videos is, why in the hell is there a video camera mounted on the dashboard? We've been lucky enough to score some awesome footage, but I can't figure out why everybody has a camera ready to catch it all. Am I missing something? Maybe I should mount a camera on my dashboard just in case I wreck.
