After less than six months of being back in business, Hamady Complete Food Center will be closing its' doors again.

Even before opening in July of this year, the store ran into a number of problems that caused setbacks. Many of those problems came from a shortage of employees, permits, inspections, and more. The owner of Hamady Complete Food Center has yet to make a statement but is expected to hold a press conference on Wednesday. The location and time have yet to be announced.

Unfortunately, this will leave the north end of the city without a major grocery store. Hamady Complete Food Center joins the list of now-closed stores that include Kroger on Pierson Road, Kroger on Davison Road, and Meijer on Pierson Road. Add on the never-ending problems with the water in Flint and it makes for a much bigger struggle for the residents on that side of town.
