Are you ready to love your PlayStation consoles even more? PlayStation and HBO have partnered up to bring the HBO GO app to PlayStation 3 and then PlayStation 4.

According to a post on the PlayStation Blog, HBO CEO Richard Plepler announced the partnership at the Buzzfeed Brews event in New York City on Jan. 16, 2014. If you've got an HBO subscription via your cable or satellite provider, you'll be able to get access to great HBO shows such as 'Game of Thrones,' 'Boardwalk Empire' and 'True Detective.' Then, of course, you've got all of the on-demand movies, documentaries and specials that the service offers through the HBO GO app.

For subscribers with PlayStation consoles, this means that they can sit back and watch the new season of 'Game of Thrones' from the comfort of their gaming system, then switch out to a game right after they've sated their need for political intrigue, sword fighting and the promise of dragons and zombies.

There's been no word on whether or not an Xbox One version of the popular app is coming, but at least Sony fans can finally look forward to getting in on the Home Box Office action.
