High School Students Lose Fingers During Game of Tug-Of-War

What was supposed to be friendly game of tug-of-war, turned into a blood bath. Two California high school students literally lost fingers when the rope snapped. It is believed the rope was wrapped around the students' hands, and that is what caused the fingers to fall off.

Can you imagine seeing such a sight? The injured were a male and a female, both 18-years-old. They each lost four fingers from their right hands. The female also lost the thumb on her left hand. Both of the students were active in athletics.

As of now, the school has not ruled out future games of tug-of-war. Seriously? No way I would play after reading something like this, let alone seeing something like this. The school is reviewing the situation. I am guessing they will find someone or something to point a finger at!
