HIV-Positive Flint Man Arrested for Having Unprotected Sex
People love having sex, but it can be dangerous. Check out the details on a Flint man, who is HIV-positive, and his arrest for having sex with multiple partners.
Flint police have arrested a 44-year-old resident for intentionally not telling partners that he was infected with HIV. Police have stated the man may have had sex with as many as 50 partners since his initial diagnosis.
Genesee County Health Officials have known of the mans positive status since 2010 and have the names of at least 4 partners that the man had sex with. Officials became aware of the issue when one of the four partners told the health department that the man had not informed them of his positive status. The crime of sexual penetration with an uninformed partner is a felony that has a maximum sentence of four years per case.
Genesee County Sheriff Robert Pickell state the case against the man was ongoing and that,
We believe from our investigating, that he set out to have sexual intercourse and never intended to inform them
I know having sex is pretty much the best thing ever, but you have to take care of yourself. If you’re going to have multiple sexual partners, use a condom every time and get tested on a regular basis.
