Hot Mom Defends Picture and Herself Against Facebook Haters

We all know, 'haters are gonna hate'! Especially when hiding behind a keyboard. A California mom is defending herself after a picture on her Facebook page went viral. The pic features her and her 3 kids. So what is the big deal?

Well, the big deal to some, is the fitness loving mom, Maria Kang, is wearing short shorts and a bra-like workout tank. Her children ages 8-months to 3-years-old are surrounding her and at the top of the picture are these words,

'What's Your Excuse?'

Maria claims she was trying to inspire people. I get that. Not everyone does. The picture has over 16 million views on Facebook, and has more than 12,000 comments. As you can imagine, not all of the comments are nice. Some going as far as accusing her of NOT being the mother of the children. Other comments call Maria, 'fake' and 'obnoxious'.

Not all of the comments are negative, but the majority are. Why are people so jealous of others success? Does it make people feel better about themselves to put down others? I see this sort of negativity whenever we do a photo contest on our website. The photo at large, was posted a year ago. Since it has received so much attention lately, Maria did post it again, with these words,

I'm sorry you took an image and resonated with it in such a negative way. I won't go into details that I struggled with my genetics, had an eating disorder, work full time owning two businesses, have no nanny, am not naturally skinny and do not work as a personal trainer,” she wrote, in part. “What I WILL say is this. What you interpret is not MY fault. It's yours. The first step in owning your life, your body and your destiny is to OWN the thoughts that come out of your own head. I didn't create them. You created them. So if you want to continue ‘hating’ this image, get used to hating many other things for the rest of your life.”
