An eight foot wide hole in front of Glenwood Cemetary leads to the advisory, as well as closed roads for a few days at least.

The hole was initially created by a water main break over the weekend, which has since been fixed. Flint Mayor Dr. Karen Weaver says “This boil water advisory is just precautionary, and while it may be a hassle, we want residents to be safe,” She goes on to say, "We know the city’s infrastructure is old and issues like this unfortunately can’t be avoided. But we are working to fix the problem. Meanwhile, we’re asking residents to boil your filtered water before using it for things like cooking, just to be safe.” according to ABC 12. In addition to the hole, damage has been done to a nearby sewer that will need to be repaired.

Residents are asked not only to boil filtered water, but to find alternative routes due to road closures in the area, until further notice.
