After more than 50 years of serving the Flint area, an iconic bar/restaurant is up for sale.

Sherman's Lounge has been home to local bands for decades. It's a spot where locals know they can go and get some tasty food and cocktails.

Built in 1972, Sherman's Lounge recently hit the market for $349,900. I was actually really surprised to see it was going for less than $400,000. While we know nothing about owning a bar and what its value is, for some reason, $349,900 sounds like a decent deal considering it sold for $900,000 in 2005.

RE/MAX Listing:

Sherman's has been one of Flint's premier ounge and entertainment venues for 50+ years. It still has a great neighborhood and entertainment business. This well-maintained, fantastic business is your opportunity to make money from day one.

It's unclear why the owners of Sherman's Lounge have decided to sell the business but the good news is, they're not closing their doors anytime soon. While the bar may be up for sale, until new owners come along, it's open and operating like normal.

As you can see below, they still have lots of live entertainment booked throughout April.

Hopefully whoever ends up buying Sherman's Lounge will keep it running with the same vibe that it has now.  We always have a riot when we throw down at Sherman's.
