If you're one of those people that are "dreaming of a white Christmas," you'll likely have to go north of Cadillac to even have a shot at it.

I'm not one of those die-hard "we gotta have snow on Christmas" guys. Actually, I'm more of a "We should totally watch 'Die Hard' on Christmas" guys (Best. Christmas. Movie. Ever.). My kids like to see snow around the holidays -- so I could go either way, really. However, our last few winters have been so brutal that I'm kind of looking forward to a "light Christmas" in the snow department.

We mentioned earlier this year that, thanks to a strong El Nino, we likely won't see a very rough winter. Now that we've seen temps in the 60s in mid-December, I think we can remove the word "likely" from the previous statement. While the weather is never certain here in Michigan, the pros are saying there's a high chance we will not see much snow this Christmas. In fact, their video forecast (screenshot below) shows that only the northern third of the Mitten and the Upper Peninsula have a chance at any snowfall on the holiday.

Flint's current forecast for Christmas Day is partly sunny with showers possible and a high of 58 degrees. Sorry, Holiday purists. You'll have to endure reasonably normal travel conditions and tolerable temps this Christmas.
