Welcome back, Incubus. The band's last full length album was 2011's If Not Now, When?, even though they did release the Trust Fall EP in 2015. But we now know that a new album, aptly titled 8 to signify the band's eighth album, will be arriving this year. The group also took the opportunity to debut a new song called "Nimble Bastard" via Los Angeles radio station KROQ, and you can hear the track in the player provided below.

As you can hear, it's Incubus in a heavier mood, with drummer Jose Pasillas in particular getting a workout on the song. The band has been teasing a heavier album in general and "Nimble Bastard" would appear to be in line with that.

"This song actually came very late in the process of writing new music for our new album that we have coming out very soon," revealed guitarist Mike Einziger to KROQ. "We're just about done actually and it just kind of happened in the studio and we were messing around with this musical idea and the next thing we know we had a song. Brandon [Boyd] wrote the lyrics and it's kind of a narrative about someone who overcomes the harshest of circumstances and always ends up landing on their feet. It's a really fun and energetic song."

The band is busy today, also unveiling details of their summer touring plans with Jimmy Eat World. The group had already revealed several dates as part of Ticket to Rock special pricing program, but the full list of dates can now be seen below, after the player for "Nimble Bastard." Ticketing info can be found here.

Stay tuned for additional info on the album release and welcome back Incubus.
