Brutal winter weather is so cold right now that parts of the Earth are actually colder than some of the average daily temperatures on the planet Mars!

According to Liberty Voice, last week, the temperature was colder in Winnipeg, Minn., at -30°C than in a crater on Mars at -29°C. This week, parts of northern Minnesota are down to a record-breaking -42 F.

Now, keep in mind this is an anomaly. In reality, Mars is certainly colder than the U.S. on average. Daily lows, according to NASA data, often dip to over 100 degrees below zero in some spots on Mars. But, it’s still crazy to think that, even for a moment, parts of the U.S. were colder than Mars.
