Jet Ski Pizza Is a Novelty on Michigan’s Long Lake

There is nothing worse than catching a beer buzz on the lake and then being forced to navigate the boat back to shore to pick up the pizza you just ordered from across the way. Not only can this drunken journey open a person up to incident and injury, but there is also a damn good chance you will be arrested before ever tasting a single slice.

Nick Ferrugia, who operates a local grocery store and pizza place along Michigan’s Long Lake noticed this unique opportunity and took it upon himself to engineer a unique method for delivering pizza to customers all over the lake: by strapping a pizza warmer on the back of a jet ski.

Ferrugia says he got the idea after watching the docks get crowded at certain points throughout the day with people trying to pick up food. "There were boats lining up to get on the dock to come get their pizza and other goodies," he said. "So I thought there's got to be a better way."
