Kid Rock Announces ‘Underplay’ Club Tour Dates For 2011

Kid Rock has always been generous when it comes to charities and businesses in Michigan — even more so in Detroit. Now Rock will bring his generosity to the rest of the country on the ‘Underplay’ club tour.

Kid Rock has gathered several Detroit business leaders to show support for cities in need. While Detroit is not in the best shape these days either, Rock and friends feel it is important to show that the Motor City can still aid other areas that are in need.

Some of the companies and business owners Rock has employed include the Compuware Corporation, The Suburban Collection, Quicken Loans Inc., Fathead, The Detroit Pistons, Danialle and Peter Karmanos, Jr., Holly and Tom Gores (Detroit Pistons owner), Catherine and Nathan Forbes, Gretchen and Ethan Davidson.

At each tour stop, Kid Rock and partners will donate money to local Charities via the Kid Rock foundation. Rock says the idea was spurred by the upcoming sing ‘Care’ from his 2010 album ‘Born Free’:

“The song says ‘the least that I can do is Care’ – and I want to put my money where my mouth is. Everyone knows that Detroit is hurting. But I want to show that even though we don’t have a lot on our own plate, it doesn’t mean the people of my hometown don’t have compassion to share with others all over the country. At the end of the day we’re all Detroit, we’re one country, one family.”

Tickets for the tour go on sale Saturday, October 15th at 10am and pre-sale tickets are available to members of the Kid Rock Congregation.
