As previously reported, Killswitch Engage are looking to continue work on their next album without vocalist Howard Jones. The band just announced that they will accept audition tapes via their website in hopes that they will find a suitable replacement.

KSE have begun the ever-daunting task of replacing a beloved vocalist. The band had started to work on new material with Jones when they realized his "heart wasn’t in it," and then decided to move forward without their singer of 10 years. The singer-less metal group addressed the many questions regarding the vacant slot in a message posted to their official website:

"We’ve been getting a lot of inquiries about the singer position. If you are interested, please send an MP3 or a song link, a photo and a brief description of yourself to the management email address provided in the contact section of KillswitchEngage.com."

Many believe that original vocalist Jesse Leach may return to the band, especially after the erstwhile singer posted leading comments like “I go where the spirit leads me,” and "No matter insignificant it may seem in the moment, the smallest change can spark a revolution!" on his Facebook page. After many responded with the assumption his comments were Killswitch related, Leach wrote:

"Stop trying to read Inbetween the lines of my posts. If I have something to say, I WILL say it. For the moment I have no comments on KSE...You know what reunion [I'm] excited for? At The Drive In !!!"

Leach currently fronts the Rhode Island metalcore group The Empire Shall Fall who just released 'Volume 1: Solar Plexus' -- the first in a series of EPs.
