This year alone, Sears and Kmart have closed 180 store locations. They now plan to close another 28 including three Kmart locations in Michigan.

According to WDIV, The company had previously announced that another 150 stores will close by the third quarter.

Three Michigan stores will close as a part of the new batch:

  • Utica/Shelby Township, 7601 23 Mile Road
  • Bay City, 4001 N Euclid Avenue
  • Sandusky, 545 West Sanilac

Way back in the day I used to work at the old Kmart location in Romeo while I was attending broadcasting school. I actually worked there for a few years. I believe it was from 1992-1995. All I did was unload trucks all day, it wasn't a bad gig.
