Labrador Retriever Is Most Popular Dog Breed In United States
The American Kennel Club (AKC), has announced that the Labrador Retriever is the most popular dog in the U.S. for the twenty-first year. Making a move up the charts this year to number three is the beloved Beagle. If you are a fan of the Pit Bull , that breed did not make the list.
I have never had a Labrador myself but know many people that have or currently do. I did have a wonderful Beagle named Robbie when I was a kid. Robbie rocked! Unfortunately Robbie had to be put down due to cancer. That was the first time I ever saw my Dad cry.
German Sheperds are the third most popular. My family had two shepherds growing up. Good ol' Brandy and later on we had one named Gera. I loved those dogs! It's strange how I was such an animal person as a kid, but now not so much. If someone is going to have a dog or any pet for that matter, they need to make time for it. I have no time.
