After an accident this summer that caused major damage to the bridge over US-23 on Lahring Road, crews will be closing down a portion of the road on Wednesday for repairs. Starting at 4 p.m., MDOT will be closing Lahring Road from North Road to Saint Andrews Way to replace the concrete barrier wall.

The project is expected to last for 10 hours, finishing up around 2 a.m. Thursday morning. After this bit of reconstruction, beam replacements will begin in the spring of next year.

Traffic on US-23 should not be effected during this process.
