Lapeer Schools on Lockdown After Prisoner Escapes Custody

The Lapeer School District is in a state of lockdown after a parolee working at the nearby Thumb Correctional Facility escaped custody during work detail.
According to WNEM, 31-year old Darrell Allen Stallard — who just finished serving time on an armed robbery charge — was in custody at the Tuscola Work Camp as part of the county’s Residential Reentry Program. The parolee was brought to the Thumb Correctional Facility to mow the lawn — he escaped at some point during the work detail.
Stallard ditched his clothing, but authorities believe he may have been wearing shorts and a t-shirt under his prison attire. Stallard is 5 foot 11 and weighs about 160 lbs, his head is shaved bald as oppose to the shaggier look in his picture above.
