Local Hockey Legend and Businessman Bob Perani Passes Away

Family, friends and the community are mourning the loss of Flint hockey legend and business man Bob Perani.  ABC 12 news is reporting that Mr. Perani passed away on board an international flight yesterday.

Perani's daughter, Lahna Ward has fond memories of her father on and off the ice, and shared some thoughts about him with MLive.

Ward said, qutoe:

“He was a great guy. If somebody needed help, he would give them the shirt off his back if he could, he will be so missed by the community, and that means the world to us.”

She goes on to say:

“I know I wouldn’t be the person I am without him, and there are a lot of other people that wouldn’t be the way they are without him. I couldn’t love someone more because of that.”
