Local Kidnapping and Sexual Assault Claim Turns Out to be a Hoax [VIDEO]

Back on October 30th a Tuscola woman told police that she had been kidnapped and raped by two men after she had stopped to help one them who appeared to be a stranded motorist.

Hours after the story about the attack was aired on ABC12, their newsroom received an email from someone apparently claiming to be the rapist. It was then given to police, who concluded it was written by someone who knew details of the alleged crime.

Investigators were able to figure out that the email was written by the alleged victim. The story of the attack was a big fat hoax.
