Two managers from Longway Planetarium found what they believe are pieces from the meteorite that blasted through Michigan this past Tuesday night.

According to ABC12, Todd Slisher and Buddy Stark went on a hunt for the meteorites on Thursday and found three pieces. It's believed that the meteorite entered the atmosphere just north of Brighton and exploded over the Howell area.

All week we've been hearing about people trying to find fragments of the meteorite because of their value. It's also believed there's plenty more to find, more than likely in northwest Livingston County.

Congrats to both of these astronomers as it must feel like winning the lottery. If you want to check out the fragments, you can head over to the Longway Planetarium today from 9:30am - 3 pm.
