Marvel’s Netflix schedule made it difficult to discern when additional seasons of the four (now five) heroes would debut, but it seems Luke Cage’s work is far from over. After The Defenders, Harlem’s hero for hire will officially be back for Season 2.

The Luke Cage Twitter account confirmed as much Sunday, though the brief tweet marked “Always forward” somewhat buried the lede:

The series debuted in late September, though filming on The Defenders understandably took precedence to confirming Cage’s post-teamup future. As far as Marvel’s immediate Netflix future, we know Iron Fist, The Defenders and The Punisher will all debut in 2017, with Jessica Jones Season 2 and Daredevil Season 3 hitting sometime thereafter.

There’s plenty of material to mine for Luke Cage Season 2, assuming The Defenders doesn’t catch us up with Alfre Woodard’s Mariah Dillard or Eric LaRay Harvey’s Diamondback, who himself was last seen flirting with a similar skin treatment to his half-brother. Presumably, The Defenders will overturn the immediate cliffhanger of Luke Cage Season 1, which saw the hero for hire headed to Atlanta to serve out the remainder of his prison time.

We’ll see Luke Cage again next year, but what should we hope for from Season 2?
