See the most epic violin solo ever as a man replicates the music and sound FX for the original Nintendo version of 'Super Mario Bros.' The best part is he does it in real time, replacing the sounds with those of his violin as they happen in the game.

This video has been out there for a while, but has been making the rounds on Facebook lately (as many old videos have found a second life on the social network). I had not seen it until a few weeks back... and I was floored. The YouTube comments suggest that this might be a pre-recorded bit of gameplay that homeboy rehearsed to death, but who cares. It's still pretty epic! Also, this is literally the only time violin has ever been cool.

If you dig this, you should check out Minibosses. Those dudes totally shred old school Nintendo themes on guitar, bass and drums.
