I am  not much of a romantic, but this is pretty sweet.  I have heard many stories about a husband or wife passing after the death of his or her spouse, no particular reason other than "a broken heart".   This normally happens with elderly couples.  This couple in particular passed after a car accident within 70 minutes of each other.  The pair were holding hands when they died.  This sounds like a movie.

MSNBC is reporting that Gordon (94) and Norma Yeager (90) were involved in a car accident after Mr. Yeager pulled away from a stop sign and failed to yield a westbound vehicle.  The driver of the on coming car was not able to stop, so that is when and how the accident occurred.

The injuries the Yeager's faced were substantial and the two were put in the same ICU room in the hospital.  Gordon died at 3:38pm with followed by Norma passing at 4:48pm. Dennis Yeager, the couples son said, quote:

"It was really strange, they were holding hands, and dad  stopped breathing but I couldn't figure out what was going on because the heart monitor was still going, but we were like, he isn't breathing. How does he still have a heart beat? The nurse checked and said that's because they were holding hands and it's going through them. Her heart was beating through him and picking it up."

It is hard for me to understand a love this deep I guess.  I have thought about murdering (kidding) my boyfriend Tony many times, but never pictured us having any last moments like this.

Donna Sheets, the couples daughter said, quote:

"Neither one of them would've wanted to be without each other. I couldn't figure out how it was going to work, we were very blessed, honestly, that they went this way."

Why this is of course very sad for the family and some what heart warming for romantics, the truth is Mr. Yeager should not have been driving. He apparently was having issues pending in regards to his license.  Not good.
