Everyone went bananas when McDonald's announced they'd be serving breakfast... until they realized that only included the stuff no one orders. That's about to change, as the house that Ronny built just announced the new, expanded all day breakfast menu.

For as long as they've had breakfast, McDonald's has not-so-secretly had us by the short and curlies, like a girlfriend withholding sex to keep the upper hand in a relationship. Their ace in the hole, however, was not their hole -- it was all day breakfast. For years, they made us wait for it, and wait for it, and wait for it, to the point where most dudes would've ran off to hook up with other eateries who would give up the breakfast anytime. Then, in 2015, McDonald's finally let us hit that announced all day breakfast. Sorry, got caught up in my own metaphor there for a minute.

I realize that the current all day breakfast menu varies from McDonald's to McDonald's, but at the locations nearest me -- they legit just have the Egg McMuffins available all day. Bitch, I haven't ordered a McMuffin since they started serving eggs on McBiscuits. I'm a self-respecting American who doesn't enjoy the taste of spam and eggs smashed between two grilled, sand-covered cardboard discs. After biscuits, they added bagels, then two little pancakes with syrup already in them... and now you expect me to settle for this busted ass McMuffin because I can't wake up before noon on the weekends? Yeah, let me start blogging on a word processor while I'm at it.

I can't even get a hashbrown after 11am. You mean to tell me that they lose the ability to drop a frozen hashbrown patty into the deep fryer once the lunch/dinner menu goes live? Can you not mix different varieties of potato in these magical McFryers? Are the day potatoes not formatted to be compatible with the night grease? This is turning into a long rant about things other than McDonald's breakfast, and for that I should apologize. Let's just move on to the meat and potatoes, a larger variety of which you will now be able to order all day at McDonald's!

That's right, they're finally adding stuff from the edible section of the breakfast menu to the all day menu. I'm talking Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Biscuits, McGriddles, burritos, and even hashbrowns (in some restaurants). The time has come to pull your stock out of McMuffin futures and invest in McGriddle technology. Let us hope that McDonald's keeps getting desperate. At this rate they might have to stop pulling the old "our ice cream machine is down" bit every night after 7pm.
