While it may be the season for ugly Christmas sweaters and all-star carol compilations, the metal community isn't best known for partaking in such holiday festivities. Megadeth changed all that last night during their appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!,' debuting their new holiday disc ‘Thrashing Through the Snow: A Very Megadeth Christmas’ in a funny holiday skit.

Showing off their great sense of humor, Dave Mustaine and Megadeth slayed through thrash versions of Christmas classics like ‘Frosty the Snowman' and ‘Do You Hear What I Hear’ with snarling vocals and racing guitar riffs, scaring small children who ran away with their hands over their ears.

Capping things off, Megadeth collaborated with the lovely Jenny Lewis on the classic holiday song ‘Baby It’s Cold Outside’ before scaring her off, too. Watch the hilarious skit above to check it out.

It wasn’t all laughs though, Megadeth stuck around to perform ‘Kingmaker’ from their latest disc ‘Super Collider’ on Kimmel’s Sony Outdoor Stage. The performance gave viewers a real taste of what Megadeth is really all about and why they've been one of metal's driving forces for decades.

While it's likely fans won't find ‘Thrashing Through the Snow: A Very Megadeth Christmas' in their stockings this year, 'Super Collider' is a great alternative.
