As we’ve previously reported, Metallica are preparing deluxe remastered versions of their first two albums ‘Kill ‘Em All’ and ‘Ride The Lightning.’ Now, the band is reaching out to their hardcore fans for help to get content for the new versions of the albums.

A post on Metallica’s website is asking fans for anything and everything they may have from the band's early days. The post reads, “Did you manage to sneak a video camera into a show long before they fit in your pocket? Maybe your old instamatic camera for some snap shots? A cassette Walkman with a microphone? We’re looking for anything and everything... audio, video, photos, fliers, ticket stubs, the set list you picked up off the floor, and in general any mementos you may have from that around that time.”

Email submissions@metclub.com to share your piece of Metallica history and receive more information about submitting photos, videos, audio recordings and other mementos. The post continues, “Remember, we want everything (well, everything that’s yours)! Nothing is too small or too trivial... share your archives with your fellow fans and have some fun with us walking down memory lane. By submitting it, you’re saying we can use it should your piece of history land on a release (yes, the lawyers made us add this part!).”

Metallica also mentioned that the fans came through in a “very big way” when they asked for content for the upcoming definitive ‘Master of Puppets’ book that author Matt Taylor is assembling. Read the entire post here.

The deluxe remastered versions of ‘Kill ‘Em All’ and ‘Ride The Lightning’ will be released sometime in 2015.

Meanwhile, Metallica fans will get to see the band perform soon as they will join Dave Grohl and many more for HBO's 'The Concert for Valor' on Nov. 11. The band will also perform on 'The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson’ for an entire week starting on Nov. 17.
