MI Family Attempted Trip to Disney World As Irma was Bearing Down [VIDEO]

A Michigan family was attempting to Fly to Florida while people were frantically evacuating the state. The reason they felt it was so important to go while Hurricane Irma was bearing down was simple...they wanted to go to Disney World.

While watching their interview with WDIV, I couldn't help but think how foolish and selfish they seemed. I mean, they were hoping to hit the park because the lines were going to be shorter and it wouldn't be as busy. People were fearing for their lives and all they could think about was being first in line for the rides.

The funny thing is, they missed their flight because they stopped for a couple minutes to do the interview with Local 4.

This was only the fifth time ever that Disney has been forced to close.
