Michigan Father Completes Triathlon Carrying Daughter with Cerebral Palsy [VIDEO]

It takes a strong person to take care of a loved one with special needs, and this father is as strong as they come.  Watch the inspiring video of Rick and his daughter Maddy, who finished a triathlon, despite Maddy's cerebral palsy.

A triathlon consists of a .3 mile swim, a 12.4 mile bike ride and a 3.1 mile run.  To complete that by yourself is impressive, but to complete it while carrying your teenage daughter with cerebral palsy is amazing.  Rick van Beek did just that, all to become more connected with his daughter Maddy.  Maddy is 13 but has the capabilities of a three month old and she loves being outside.  Rick is being called "Father of the Century" and rightfully so.
