Michigan Flags Lowered Today to Honor Marine Killed During Training

Gov. Rick Snyder is asking that flags around the state be lowered to half-staff today in honor of a Marine from Armada who died during a training exercise in California.

22-year-old Michael Giannattasio was found unresponsive Aug. 30 at California's Camp Pendleton. I saw this morning on CCN that they are still investigating but it's believed to be an accident.

According to ABC12, His funeral Mass will be today at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ray Township.
