Michigan Governor Rick Snyder won his re-election bid against challenger Mark Schauer on Tuesday. The Republican Snyder fought off a tough challenge from Democrat Schauer, a one-term Congressman from Battle Creek. Snyder was up six percentage points as of 11 p.m. with multiple media outlets calling the race for him. Snyder touted his record of creating 300,000 new private sector jobs and Medicaid expansion. He also highlighted bi-partisan efforts to help the City of Detroit and simplifying the tax code.

Other Republicans winning in Michigan include Attorney General Bill Schuette and Secretary of State Ruth Johnson.
